  • 2021 was a rough one, but not without its highlights. Again I’m reminded that life is about sharing time with friends, seeking out quality experiences, challenging yourself and that your glow is brighter when you’ve been having too much fun to shower for a while. Here’s to more random public toilet selfies, time by the ocean, creativity, exploring and continuing on this adventure called life. ☀️
  • Feeling more and more relaxed, settled and myself with each day out of lockdown and living in the van again. Despite the desperate need for a shower and load of laundry, I’m still so at peace with this life I built, it’s nice to be back. ✌🏼
  • Larapinta trail memories from back in May, my last trip before lockdown. 14days of hiking in the desert with no shower, and still smiling 😄
  • 2 weeks until I can go back to living like this again.

3months of lockdown has been rough. I’m hoping the healing process will be shorter than the lockdown that caused the damage.

It’s so hard to put everything I’ve learnt into words. There’s been big lessons in privilege, hardship, letting go of control, empathy, forgiveness and patience. I’ve tried so hard to handle this with grace knowing my position is still better than many, and that I’ve had so many people help through this period. But it’s been a long time of patiently waiting to return to my life which is currently unrecognisable from pre-lockdown.

I am a coiled spring at the moment, triggered by even the simplest of changes that are outside my control, jealous of those who are in lockdown in a seaside location, struggling to see anything past my own situation, and then guilty for feeling that way.

I’m sending love to everyone who’s had a hard time. We’re all gonna need a giant hug after this. Especially my Melbourne friends. X
